![]() ![]() Your speeds will also vary depending on the complexity of your scene, but you can expect to see similar numbers when rendering in Stager 2.1 for your projects. Rendering speed varies depending whether you’re working on Mac or Windows, but in both cases, the performance benefits are substantial. With the new GPU denoiser in Stager 2.1, draft render speeds are improved 70 percent and 93 percent and when rendering in high quality mode, rendering speeds are improved between 33 percent and 52 percent. They rendered animation sequences in previous and latest releases of Stager across platforms, and then proceeded to compare the render times and the energy consumption. To demonstrate this, the Adobe Research and the Substance 3D teams ran a series of benchmarks to help illustrate the gains when using the accelerated GPU denoiser. the exported GLBs look completely different as well.If you are new to Stager or an existing user, the speed of the GPU denoiser is quite substantial. ![]() We're supposed to spend our time adjusting past files in 2.1, in the hopes they might render as they always have? 2.1 will cause me to lose more time by having to tweak past files. why on earth would 2.1 introduce rendering that won't render a consistent look with any version which rendered it before? Just look at this attached example, which uses the same exact file to render. This update is complete when it comes to consistency of file rendering existing files with the same results past versions created. Why should I have to research and adjust my historical file's long-standing Material properties so that 2.1 renders will look like every version rendered beforehand? I am supposed to edit every single past file, just to hope to get the same visual results with which I have been pleased in the past? Ridiculous. same file, and the render is completely different with the 2.1 update. Is anyone else noticing wildly different results amongst renders done before today's update (2.1) and any previous version? I'm opening a file I rendered just yesterday (2.0.2) with today's update (2.1,) and the results are completely different when I render it again with 2.1. What a wreck this 2.1 update has created. ![]()
